The Barbecue season is open!
With good weather, a good barbecue is inevitable! But did you know that there are plenty of tricks to make a perfect barbecue:
- Make sure you have enough fuel – don't forget charcoal (or gas) for your barbecue.
- Leave the grill clean - It is important to have barbecues or grilling stoves in perfect condition, you will see that they can last forever!
- Lubricate the grates - Having grates well lubricated with vegetable oil is important, but without excess.
- Have a water bottle with holes or a bottle with a diffuser always close - Important especially when using coal. The grease that hits the coals burns and the flames burn the flesh! Have the control over the flames.
- Let the grill heat well before putting the meat - Important not only for grilling but also to cook the meat and also the fish! A good tip is to put your hand above the grid and if you can’t hold it for more than 5 seconds, then it’s hot enough to start.
- Do not pierce the meat - never pierce to see if it is on point, by piercing the natural juices of the meat will come out, whether it is a steak or chicken breast that will begin to dry immediately.
- After grilling, let it rest - do not cut the meat too soon, but let it rest for a few moments, it will help to redistribute the juice inside the meat and make it much more tender.
- Be the master of your barbecue - A person must be the person in charge of the grill, who knows when the meat has been grilled and how long it must stay there, and they must not leave the responsibility to another person unless it is an emergency!
- If you use a lid let it stay - If you have a lid to steam a little, which works great for larger pieces of meat or whole chicken, leave the piece of meat covered until it is almost ready, you should not remove the lid too regularly to see if it is good, because every time you open the lid the cooking can be compromised.
